Telemetry Protocols
DNP3, Modbus RTU and TCP, IEC 60870-5-101/104, OPC-UA, OPC-DA, and MQTT. Protocol selection is guided by hardware capabilities, communication medium (radio, cellular, fibre, satellite), latency requirements, and security posture. Secure variants (DNP3 SA, OPC-UA with certificates) are preferred for new deployments.
